J. Melissa Schmitt joined Temmerman, Cilley & Kohlmann, LLP in 2016. Ms. Schmitt provides representation in the areas of trust litigation, which includes will and trust contests, elder abuse actions, beneficiary actions, and related civil matters.
Ms. Schmitt enjoys volunteering in the community. Prior to lawschool, she assisted in soccer clinics for youth players which focused on developing confidence, communication, team work, and timemanagement skills for studentathletes. While in law school, as a board member on the Santa Clara University School of Law La Raza, Ms. Schmitt participated in events aimed towards educating young students on the legal field.
